Your career to date?
After graduating from Dundee University with an Honours degree in Business Finance, I trained with Inter Alliance on their graduate training scheme, gaining experience in financial planning, investments, pensions and general tax planning. Since then I have consolidated and strengthened my experience advising and helping clients to achieve their objectives and maximise the potential of their investment portfolios. My clients are primarily private individuals however I do work with a number of small to medium sized enterprises across Scotland, advising on a diverse range of activities including keyman assurance, shareholder protection schemes and pension scheme implementation and management.

If you could offer one piece of financial advice to an individual, what would it be and why?
Pay off debt as soon as possible and save for retirement.

Which areas of financial planning do you feel an individual should be addressing in the next 2 years?
To have a general financial review. This may highlight shortfalls or improvements that can be made across a variety of areas.

What is the most common mistake you find individuals make in financial planning?
Not saving enough for retirement.
